 Bulk Inoculation Service Provides Quality and Reliability

A new bulk inoculation service called HiCoat™ is providing rapid, uniform inoculation while being “gentle” with bulk seed.  The new service is being offered in select Midwestern areas by Helena Chemical Company.  

The inoculant used in the service, HiStick®, is a high-quality product that is distributed exclusively by Helena.  HiStick is manufactured by MicroBio, Ltd., a technology-transfer company headquartered in the United Kingdom.

The new service works by utilizing specialized machinery along with a unique patented polymer that quickly applies a uniform coating of HiStick inoculant to bulk soybean seed.  The seed is then gently augered into hopper boxes for planting.  This unique service does away with the laborious task of applying and mixing inoculant into individual hopper boxes, saving time for the grower during the hectic planting season.  It also helps ensure that the soybean seed receives a uniform coating of Histick.
